The Lois Fish Palliative Society was formed with a single purpose to help build a comprehensive and integrated palliative care system.
The mission of the Society is to support and improve the dying and grieving process for terminally ill patients and caregivers. Its vision is to ensure that all British Columbians and Canadians have access to a comprehensive and integrated palliative care system that meets their needs in a timely, compassionate, and appropriate fashion with 24/7 care.
The Society is not a stand-alone entity but functions, through its mission and vision, to bring together partners in palliative care to achieve an integrated, comprehensive, and compassionate system with the best available resources accessible 24/7. In partnership with all stakeholders and the people of British Columbia, the Society is confident that an integrated 24/7 care program initiative can become a cornerstone for improving and delivering palliative care to the terminally ill and dying.
